Tom Wood Scion Skatepark Jam

The 2008 Tom Wood Scion Skatepark Jam was held on Saturday, June 21,  which was National Go-Skateboarding Day recognized around the globe.  Skatepark Jam is an amateur skateboard competition for beginner through advance skill levels.

The newly formed non-profit Foundation is looking for a logo and they would like it to come from the skate community. They have a unique sponsorship idea where the designer will of the logo will receive four (4) completes. Stop by their tent on Saturday to find out more.

Tom Wood Scion Pre-Event Party

Thank you to everyone that came out for the pre-event party at Tom Wood Scion.  The staff at Scion was great.  The non-profit 180 Urban Youth Foundation and the Beech Grove Sk8 Shop are the reason there is a half-pipe and it is just the beginning. The half-pipe will be at the Jam on Saturday. We also appreciate Gameworks (Circle Centre) for supplying the Top Skater games.

www.midwest-flat.com to the Jam. This is a BMX flatland event in Indy. There will be 4-5 riders putting on a demo on Saturday. Stop by their tent and say hello.

Spectator Giveaways
Hold on to your ticket stubs during the event. Each ticket is numbered and we will be calling out winners and giving out prizes during the afternoon. Here is a sampling.

Half Pipe Complete

Special thanks to Andy, Mike, Bill, Ian and Brenda for putting the finishing touches on the half-pipe project. We tested it Saturday and it is ready to go. We are loading the half-pipe and bringing it to Tom Wood Scion (4202 Lafayette Rd - Indianapolis) on Wednesday night (5p till ?). Come check it out and bring your board. We will also have some food, video games and give away some tickets and registrations for Saturday's event. We will bring the half pipe with us on Saturday too.  




Located a couple miles from Major Taylor and across the street from Tom Wood Scion. The mall is undergoing 12M in redevelopments in 2008. We appreciate their support of the Jam.

Join us at the Tom Wood Scion Store located at 4202 Lafayette Road, Indianapolis, IN 46254 on June 18th from 5pm to 8pm. We will have food, games, door prizes and we are bringing ramps. FREE. Bring a friend or two.

Beech Grove Sk8 Shop and 180 Urban Youth Foundation

The 180 Urban Youth Foundation is a new non-profit organization focused on Indiana youth education and fitness. They have been working this past winter and spring on an indoor action sports facility in Indianapolis. Stop by their tent and find out the lastest news. The Beech Grove Sk8 Shop is part of this new organization and they will also be supplying product for participant awards at the Jam.

NUVO

NUVO will be a media sponsor at the Jam. Check out NUVO for free ticket giveaways and stop by their booth on Saturday, June 21st and enter to win and Apple I Grove (announced at the event).

Concessions


Indy Parks will have a small food court outside at the Jam. There will be hamburgers, hot dogs, drinks and shave ice for sale during the Jam.

GAMEWORKS

New this year to the Jam, Gameworks, located win Circle Centre Mall will bring out popular skateboarding game "Top Skater." The game will be FREE to play.

Advance Sale Tickets are available at the Major Taylor Velodrome (3649 Cold Springs Road) and the Beech Grove Sk8 Shop (621 Main Street) for $3 until June 19. This is $2 off the gate price.
